Our short film will finally have its online premiere next week on Director’s Notes, a BIFA-qualifying platform and beautifully curated home for independent cinema.
After a year-long festival run, we can at last share the film with all of you.

Starting the year with screenings at the Cambridge Film Festival and the Leeds International Film Festival — both BIFA & BAFTA qualifying festivals — where we received the Jury Prize in the Fanomenon category, to being selected for the Sony Future Filmmaker Awards, which took us all the way to LA for an unforgettable week of workshops, screenings, and the awards ceremony at Sony Studios. As a sci-fi film, Marriage Unplugged found its home in incredible genre festivals across Europe as well as at the LIIFE across the Atlantic, and circled the globe with the Shnit Festival, which screens simultaneously in cities worldwide. We wrapped up this journey on a high note, winning Best of Festival at the Erotic Film Festival London.

We’re thrilled to be part of Les Utopiales – Festival International de Science-Fiction in Nantes.

The festival runs from 30 October to 2 November 2025, and our film will screen on October 31 in the International Short Film Competition.

We’re thrilled to share that Marriage Unplugged is part of the Official Selection at the 25th edition of Trieste Science+Fiction Festival, Italy’s biggest sci-fi festival!

Our film will compete in the Méliès Competition and screen on November 1st. We’re very much looking forward to being part of this incredible festival and sharing our film with the Italian audience.

We’re so happy our film keeps traveling to such wonderful genre festivals, and we’re especially excited to share it with audiences in Germany for the first time.

Marriage Unplugged will screen at the Berlin Sci-Fi Film Festival from October 23–26, 2025. We’ll share more details about the program and screening time soon—stay tuned!
 

Marriage Unplugged will have another screening in London at the Erotic Film Festival London on October 2nd.

We’re thrilled to share that Marriage Unplugged is part of the International Competition at the Shnit Worldwide Shortfilmfestival! 

Shnit is a truly global celebration of short films, unfolding simultaneously across multiple cities on five continents and bringing together more than 30,000 filmmakers and film lovers over 12 days.
 

This weekend Marriage Unplugged had its London premiere at Sci-Fi London — and what a joy it was!
Attending the screening with two of our amazing cast members, Nicholas Gleaves and Sven Ironside, as well as some of our wonderful crew made it all the more special.

Variety announces us as one of the Sony Future Filmmaker Awards Names Shortlisted Finalists. ​

Out of over 11,750 submissions, we're one of 30 filmmakers selected — an incredible honor. As part of the shortlist, we’ll be heading to LA for a four-day immersive program at the legendary Sony Pictures Studios in Culver City, leading up to the awards ceremony on June 5.

We’re incredibly honoured and grateful to the jury and festival organisers for recognising our film. Being part of such a fantastic festival was already a joy, but receiving this award is truly the highlight.

We had an amazing weekend at the Leeds International Film Festival! From meeting fellow filmmakers, programmers, and jury members to watching the award-winning short films from other competitions, it was truly an inspiring experience.One of the highlights was feeling the audience react to Marriage Unplugged and seeing our work up on the big screen. So grateful to have been part of such a wonderful festival.

'Marriage Unplugged is a must-see in the mountain of short films right now. Sharp and captivating in its execution, and a flat out captivating watch (...) It opens the doors for discussion, all while knowing exactly what to keep and what to hold back (...) This is one of those short films where the time passes by just like that. We had a great time at the Cambridge Film Festival and got a lot of good feedback about Marriage Unplugged. We are also up for the Audience Award, so fingers crossed!

This is an incredible opportunity as Leeds is an Academy Award, BAFTA, and BIFA-qualifying festival. Our film has been selected for the Fanomenon Short Film Competition, which highlights the best in fantasy, sci-fi, horror, dark comedy, and cult films. It's their first year running this as an official competition, and we’re so honored to be part of it.
