Two Sisters and the Moon
Florine and Kim Nüesch, who grew up in St.Gallen and moved to Los Angeles for their film studies, present "Moon Girls". A "stylish romance from the US suburbia" tells the story of two sisters in 1969 who are inspired by the moon landing and want to shoot a sci-fi film. During their film shoot they start falling in love with the neighbors boys.
"Florine and I have long been fascinated by the 1960s," says Kim Nüesch. Especially the fashion, the design and the architecture of that time period is what they adore. "It was important to us for "Moon Girls" to make everything look as authentic as possible, even if our budget was limited." Only three to four weeks passed between having the idea and shooting the film. "The short film is inspired by ourselves. We are also two sisters who want to make films together. "
"Short films are a great way to attract attention and gain experience" explain the Nüesch Sisters. "But our goal for the future is to start making feature films." In December 2016 Florine and Kim Nüesch founded their own company in Los Angeles: Nüesch Sisters Productions.
